Bible Boot Camp, Week 3: The 2nd Advent of Christ

You have made it to week 3 of Bible Boot Camp, and if you are reading this, it is clear that you desire to hear the Word of the True and Living God!
This week we shall ponder a topic that Everyone that I know has unwittingly said something that they didn't really mean. Most are ignorant of the request (wish) that they are making, when they make it.

Have you or someone you know ever been having a rough time in their life and said, "I will sure be glad when Jesus returns!" Or maybe something more similar to, 'I can't wait until Jesus comes back.' Maybe even during a church service when you were reading ( or hearing) about the goodness of God and confessed either in song or sermon that you wished Jesus Christ would return sooner rather than later.

I am here to reveal to all that are able to read this scribe that, YOU ARE NOT READY PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, PSYCHOLOGICALLY, OR SPIRITUALLY for the 2nd Advent of Christ!

To make my point we should begin with the 6th seal in the book of Revelation. Everyone whom has ever read the book of Revelation knows that there are all kinds of scary things contained therein. I will tell you now and prove to you later that those things mentioned in the book of Revelation were most usually spoken of somewhere else in the Bible (usually the Old Testament).

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Revelation 6:13-17
Pay attention to the things that happen before you see the lamb, these are tell-tale signs to let us know what time period we are talking about.  We see things happening in the atmosphere, but take a moment to consider what marvelous thing must happen for "Chief Captains" and "Mighty Men" to call for rocks and mountains to "Fall on them" in order to 'hide' them from the face of God.
Verse 15 also lets us know that after this thing happens we will be able to look up into the 3rd heaven and see the face of Him that sits on the throne. Verse 17 warns us, WHO SHALL BE ABLE TO STAND?
The prophet Zephaniah also spoke of the 'day of the Lord.'
14 The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.
17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. Zephaniah 1:14-18
But some sisters and brothers desire the day of the Lord.
How?
Why?
The Prophet Amos issued a warning to those of us whom speak in ignorance like we desire the day of the Lord. In Chapter 5 it is written:
18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.
19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Imagine being chased by a lion, somehow getting away from the lion; only to be met by a bear! You run into a house to avoid the bear, and while leaning on the wall a snake bites you...
All the prophet is saying is that if you are around when the Day of the Lord happens, there is no escaping His wrath.
Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt... Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. [there are those signs to let us know 'when' again]
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger... Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
Isaiah chapter 13:1-18
 {Leave a question in the comments if you are curious who those people that are the Lord's 'sanctified ones'; or who the Medes are}
If you follow this blog you are aware that the rapture is a fallacy. This is proven in Matthew 24, because by the time Jesus makes his decent, it is immediately after the tribulation.
"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened...  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the

sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other...  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left."   Matthew 24:21-41

God will not steal you off the earth, so that you can avoid the great tribulation. When Jesus returns it will be AFTER the Great Tribulation, Armageddon, and the taking down of ALL the kings of the earth!
So from now on, consider the people that you love, and your everyday life before you wish for the Lord to return speedily. Because before He can return, life as you know it must be turned upside-down.

If you would like to know the options that Christians whom wish to avoid the Great Tribulation have, leave your question in the comments box and I (thru the scriptures) will reveal it to you.
May the Lord add a blessing to the reading and studying of His word in Jesus name.
Locksmif... Knowledge is the key

In Jeremiah chapter 25 the prophet is told by God to take the wine cup of His fury and cause ALL nations to drink (v.26-29). All of this because the Lord has a controversy with the nations. Some people try to say this prophecy has been fulfilled already, I always point them to verses 32-33.
"And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto  other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground."
This is the same time period, when Jesus returns to the earth! This is what happens after the 6th angel pours out his vial of wrath (The 6th seal/6th trumpet), also known as "The War of Armageddon." (See Revelation 16:12-21) In verse 17 in the book of Revelation, that same wine cup is mentioned, this is the Babylon that Jeremiah was referring to, because none of these things happened to Nebuchadrezzar's Babylon. Jeremiah 25:11-14
Lastly in Jeremiah 25 it is revealed that "the Pastors" that have misrepresented the Lord will also become a prey.

"Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape. A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the Lord hath spoiled their pasture.  And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the Lord."
Jeremiah 25:34-37
